St. Patrick's Day or Leprechaun Day !!!

St Patrick's Day is an Irish cultural and religious celebration held on March 17th, in name of Ireland's patron.

This is a celebration of the beginning of spring, when you still have some rain and warm weather, and when this conjugations happen is when the rainbows appears. 

Some people say if you want to find a Leprechaun and his pot of gold you need to find the end of a rainbow.

He looks like an old man and standing at around two feet tall. Dressed head-to-toe in green and shamrocks(lucky), he has a pair of pointy ears and carries a big stick called a shillelagh, which he uses to scare anyone who tries to steal his gold. 

The story they told to JP & LM is the Leprechaun will come to make a mess, just because is funny and also if we founds a rainbow we can wide some treasures (kids treats of corse) in there.

I had to do my homework, some research about this St. Patricks Day & Leprechaun, because I never listened to this story before, the story I know from my school time just told me that in all rainbow existe a pot of gold wide by a Leprechaun, but I never catch one and we never give me or my brother treats. 

Because is never to late to start a new tradition I did a DIY rainbow, that a I left near the table with some "black pots"(bowls) with treats, to make the think more credible I did a little mess in the house.

The result was amazing, they believed and of corse they ate most of the treats.

Dia de São Patrício é uma celebração cultural e religiosa Irlandesa realizada a 17 de março, em nome do santo padroeiro da Irlanda.

Pretende-se celebrar o início da primavera, quando ainda tem um pouco de chuva e tempo quente, quando surge esta conjugação é quando o arco-íris aparece.

Algumas pessoas dizem que se quisermos encontrar um Duende e o pote de ouro precisamos de procurar o fim do arco-íris.

Este tem a aparência  de um homem de idade com  cerca de meio metro de altura. Veste-se da cabeça aos pés de verde e trevos(sorte), tem um par de orelhas pontiagudas e carrega uma vara grande chamado de shillelagh, que ele usa para assustar quem tenta roubar o seu ouro.

A história que contaram ao JP & LM é que o Duende vem para desarrumar, só porque é engraçado e também se encontrar um arco-íris ele irá esconder um tesouro (doces para as crianças) neste.

Eu tive que fazer um trabalho de casa, alguma pesquisas sobre o dia de St. Patricio e o Duende, pois nunca tinha ouvido esta história antes, o que me contaram no meu tempo de escola é que no fim de um arco-íris existe um pote de ouro escondido por um Duende, eu nunca encontrei nenhum, nem ele nunca me deixou a mim ou ao meu irmão doces.

Porque nunca é tarde para iniciar uma nova tradição, eu fiz um arco-íris, que deixei perto da mesa com algumas "panelas pretas"(tigelas), com guloseimas, para tornar a coisa mais credível desarrumei a casa.

O resultado foi incrível, eles acreditaram e claro comeram a maior parte dos doces.
