Magis or magic ...

If I’d win the lottery I’d throw away money in that BunkyBed from Magis me Too. I have been looking for a special bed for my Pirates, I would love one like this, real simple, minimal, colorful and happy, this is brand definitely defines my personality. I always look for things with a modern design, different stuff, minimal but with personality, that makes life easy and happy.

It’s a stackable bed design by Marc Newson, a modelar bed that doesn’t take too much space in a kids room and don’t needs attachems for safetty.

Magis me Too, could drive me crazy, this brand is amazing they have so much imagination for kids’ rooms, I also love the Rocky horse, that brings the magical of a old wooden rocking horse, to a complete modern design. But also the castle My house tablecloth, it’s real a must have, and the Paradise Tree coat stand, real takes me to paradise, I real would like to win the lottery to spoil that money,

I couldn’t agree more with this perfect definition.

 

Se eu ganhasse a lotaria esbanjaria o meu dinheiro numa Bunky Bed da Magis me Too, tenho andado a procura daquela que seria a cama especial para os meus Piratas, adoraria uma destas, simples, minimal, colorida e muito alegre, definitivamente esta é uma marca que define a minha personalidade. Estou sempre a procura de um design moderno nos objetos, coisas diferentes, minimalistas mas com personalidade, que fazem a vida mais fácil e feliz.

É uma cama empilhavel do designer Marc Newson, uma cama modelar que não ocupa muito espaço no quarto de uma criança e que não necessita de apetrechos de segurança.

Magis me Too, leva-me a loucura, é uma marca espetacular repleta de imaginação para quartos de crianças. Adoro o cavalo Rocky, que traduz a magia dos antigos baloiços que eram os cavalos de pau, num design moderno. A toalha de mesa, que é um castelo de brincar My House, é um objeto de desejo e o cabide Paradise Tree, leva-me ao paraíso, ó como eu gostaria de ganhar a lotaria para esbanjar este dinheiro.

”Uma coleção de objetos mas também um “shot” de imaginação. Sem recorrer ao banal” é como Enrico Morteo define esta marca.

Eu não poderia concordar mais.

 

The Zoo at Lunchtime - Skiphop

Zoo Lunchies from Skiphop, are the cutest bags ever, there are so cute and cozy, this animals make any kid smile at lunch or snack time. Lunchtime is no more something boring with Skiphop, they also have some matching Bibs and Straw Bottles. Mustache or Pacifier, ha ha ha

The Pacifier is not something that babys really need, it’s just a thing in our head that says babys should use them, but I still love these ones, they are so cool.

The Mustachifier, is a mustache and pacifier in one, they are so cute and unique, and makes everyone laugh, I can say that babys can make a huge success with them, the babys love them and people around you will love them too.

There are 3 different kinds: Cowboy, Gentleman and Ladies Man

These ones are a little bit stylized, but they have more design, and not just mustaches, they have some red Lips Pacifier that remind me Marilyn Monroe Lips, some Bunny Pacifier nose, a Like it Pacifier, a Panic Pacifier button, a Think Stopper Pacifier and a Volume Pacifier button (how moms and dads would love this last one to work).

 

A Chucha não é algo que um bebe realmente necessite, é algo que nos incutiram que bebe um deveria usar, mesmo assim eu não deixo de gostar destas, são muito divertidas.

LEGO Storage Brick

The LEGO Storage Brick provides a way of play with storage, they are something that I love. Since I am addicted of tidying up, that allows me to take advantage of the toys my Pirates have earned over time, because of the design I can give a modern and cool style to my house, I still have toys everywhere but in a fun way, as parents we also played with LEGO, it’s like going back in time and relive our childhood and also continue to grow and play with our children this constructive imagination which brings us LEGO, because we all have a small part of engineers / designers. These allow me to take advantage of the moments of play and setting up the house in a joy and relaxed way.

The storage boxes of LEGO provide my Pirates an incentive to help in clean up time. We can stack them as we regularly do with the LEGO bricks.

As caixas de arrumação da LEGO permitem conciliar o brincar com a arrumação, são algo que eu adoro. Sendo eu viciada em arrumações, permitem-me tirar partido dos brinquedos que os Piratas vão adquirindo, devido ao seu design posso dar um ar moderno e fresco a casa, continuo a ter brinquedos por todo o lado mas de forma divertida, pois nós pais também brincámos com LEGO, é como voltar ao passado e revivermos os nossos tempos de criança e não só continuarmos a brincar e a crescer com os nossos filhos neste imaginário construtivo ao qual a LEGO nos leva, pois todos nos temos uma pequena faceta de engenheiros/projetistas. Estas permitem-me tirar partido dos momentos de brincadeiras e manter a casa arrumada de uma forma alegre e descontraída.

As caixas de arrumação da LEGO proporcionam um incentivo aos Piratas, por forma a ajudarem na hora de guardar tudo. Podemos empilha-las como fazemos regularmente com as peças LEGO.

The Zoo & The Animals.

I love a trip to Zoo, it always reminds me of my childhood, as my parents used to say “Let’s go visit the Family”. Normally we would always go to the Zoo with my cousins, I remember being such a big day with lots and lots of fun together, laughing and playing pretending to be animals. I think the best photos (still in black and white) and memories of my childhood are at the zoo. The Zoo and the animals are an imaginary world, we can see lots of animals, that we will never see in their normal habitat.

In Portugal the Zoo has grown a lot over the years, and also the marketing around this has been must more attractive recently, they have a new publicity that I love, "Bring your little beasts to meet ours".

Like all children, mine also love animals. And I have found a new "must have" from H&M, a bear sweater and a fox sweater for the fall, I love the detail of the bear’s arms and the tail of the fox on the back.  I think they would just love this.

 

Eu adoro uma viagem ao Jardim Zoológico, estas remetem-me sempre para a minha infância, os meus pais costumavam dizer “Vamos visitar a família”. Lembro-me de ser um grande dia repleto de muita e muita diversão, todos juntos a rir e a fazer de conta que eramos também animais. Penso que as melhores fotografias (ainda a preto e branco) e memórias da minha infância se remetem a estes tempos.

O Zoo e os animais estão repletos de um mundo imaginário, aqui podemos ver imensas espécies que nunca teremos oportunidade de observar no seu habitat natural.

O Zoo tem crescido ao longo destes anos, e com ele também o marketing a volta deste, tem-se tornado cada vez mais atrativo, eles tem agora uma nova publicidade que adoro que diz: “Traga as suas pequenas feras para conhecer as nossas”.

Como todas as crianças as minhas também adoram animais. E eu encontrei este “must have” da H&M, que são umas sweaters urso e raposa, adoro os pormenores dos braços do urso e da cauda da raposa nas costas. Penso que eles iriam adorar.

 

 

 

"A Moms best friend or a third hand”

My best friend was given to me in my Baby Shower, my friends got together and prepared me a huge surprise party and also gave me what I call my best friend or third hand, it’s a Baby Sling. That has been as useful as a third hand, I can carry my Pirates on it since they were born and still today, which means I still can carry my almost 4 year old Pirate everywhere and I can have my hands free for something.

I can say that I have a third hand every time that I need, and I mean a real hand, I have an ocean between me and my friends, but they are always with me every time that I need, this what I call a cozy beautiful gift given by my best friends and also really useful.

My baby sling is an handmade product made in Portugal, which makes me more proud for still using it, it’s from a Portuguese store Retrosaria, designed by Rosa Pomar, they have lots of different textile patterns that can make the Sling more cozy and suit.

Just wanted to say thank you to my friends for being always with me, whenever I need.

 

O meu melhor amigo foi-me oferecido no meu "Baby Shower", as minhas amigas juntaram-se e prepararam me uma festa surpresa e ofereceram-me aquilo a que chamo de melhor amigo ou terceira mão, é um “Sling-Porta Bebes”.

Este tem sido muito útil, tanto como ter uma terceira mão, posso transportar nele os meus Piratas, desde que nasceram até aos dias de hoje, o que significa que ainda o uso com o meu Pirata de 4 anos sempre que necessito, e consigo manter as mãos livres para outras coisas.

Posso dizer que tenho uma terceira mão amiga sempre que necessito, e mesmo tendo um oceano entre mim e as minhas amigas, elas estão sempre comigo sempre que necessito, isto é o que chamo de um bonito aconchegante presente e também muito utilitário.

O meu “Sling”, é da loja Portuguesa Retrosaria, da designer Rosa Pomar, eles tem imensos tecidos com uma diversidade de padrões que pode tornar o “Sling” ainda mais doce e acolhedor.

Um muito obrigado às minhas amigas por estarem sempre presentes, sempre que necessito.

“PaperPod rocket” - playhouse

Neil Armstrong was the first human to step onto the lunar surface, he was in the spaceflight Apollo11 that took Man to the Moon.

Now the space trips start to be something that Man are able to do, but is still something that an ordinary man couldn’t afford.

This is my dream of what a playhouse for boys should be a beautiful stylized rocket that could take kids and adults to a galaxy of imagination. I think everyone (boys and girls) already dream about a space trip, meet the stars and all that could be in there.

This card board from PaperPod, is a fantastic resource to encourage role-play and stimulate a kid’s imagination. 

Everyone would love to be an astronaut for one or more days and decorate inside and out of this rocket recreating the space adventures to distant planets.

 

Neil Armstrong foi o primeiro Homem a pisar o espaço lunar, ele encontrava-se na operação Apollo11 que levou o Homem a Lua.

Hoje em dia as viagens espaciais já são mais frequentes, mas não são algo que qualquer pessoa pode pagar.

Este é o meu sonho do que uma casa de brincadeiras de rapazes deveria ser, um bonito e estilizado foguetão que pode levar crianças e adultos a uma galáxia de imaginação. Penso que qualquer um (rapas ou rapariga) já sonhou em ir ao espaço, ver as estrelas e tudo mais em volta.

Esta casa de cartão da PaperPod, e uma fantástica fonte de brincadeiras e estímulos para a imaginação de qualquer criança.

Qualquer um adoraria ser astronauta por um ou mais dias e decorar por dentro e por fora este foguetão, recriando assim muitas aventuras espaciais a planetas distantes.

 

 

“The Dinosaur’s slippers”

How I remember the time when dinosaurs came to our places when we were younger, like the movie “Jurassic Park” from Spielberg or the cartoons that passed on a early morning in ours TV’s screens (yes because these huge TV's and very thin we call flat screen are already another reality, TV’s of our time in the eyes of our children should be seen as a box, I'm getting really old) “Denver, the last dinosaur” from Peter Keefe, or “The Land before Time” from Don Bluth. Oh yeah, now dinosaurs are on the top of the favorites of the young kids, maybe because in Christmas time there will be a new movie “Walking with Dinosaurs” from Barry Cook
Dinosaurs are one at the favorite toys at my place, my littler Pirates can see them everywhere, they know all types by name, it’s everything about dinosaurs, clothes, cartoons, books and must more.
I found these precious sleepers, from Carters, like they said: “No more monsters under the bed, they are now on his feet! Lined with faux fur, these boot slippers are oh-so cozy and warm”. 

Como eu ainda me lembro do tempo em que os dinossauros entraram pelas nossas casas a dentro quando eu era miúda, como o mítico filme do “Jurassico Park” do Steven Spielberg, ou os desenhos animados que passavam de manhã bem cedo nos ecrãs das nossas TV’s (sim porque estas TV’s enormes e bem fininhas a que chamamos plasmas, já são outra realidade, as TV’s dos nossos tempos aos olhos dos nossos filhos devem ser vistas como caixotes, realmente estou a ficar velhota, uma cota) como “Denver, o ultimo dinossauro” de Peter Keefe e ainda o filme “Em busca do Vale Encantado” de Don Bluth. Pois e, os dinossauros voltaram em forca e estão no top de brinquedos favoritos, talvez porque na época Natalícia vai estrear um novo filme “Walking with Dinosaurs” de Barry Cook.

Os dinossauros são um dos brinquedos favoritos na minha casa, os meus Piratas veem nos por todo o lado, eles sabem os nomes das espécies, agora é tudo a volta dos dinossauros, roupas, desenhos animados, livros e muito mais.
Encontrei estas preciosas pantufas, da Carters (marca americana, penso que não há em Portugal), e como eles próprios dizem: “Já não há monstros de baixo das camas, agora estão nos pés deles! Em pelo artificial, estas pantufas são acolhedoras e quentinhas”.

“Cars”, the Disney World

O famoso mundo dos filmes da Disney, “Cars”, este filme é um sucesso entre pequenos e graúdos, cá em casa não sei quem gosta mais do famoso “McQueen” se os Piratas ou os pais (na verdade a mais alucinada devo ser eu).
Aqui para além de já termos os filmes, alguns livros, roupas entre outras coisas (algumas já bem pirosas de mais), não escapa a famosa coleção de personagens da Mattel. Esta coleção e uma pequena maravilha aos meus olhos, os carrinhos a escala 1:55, para alem de serem cópias fiéis das personagens do filme, retratam também algumas cenas do filme, foi uma ótima posição de marketing que a Disney e a Mattel arranjaram para agarrar os seus fãs.
Eu não tenho nenhuma personagem preferido embora o “Guido” e o “Luigi” me encantem, por sua vez os personagens de caracter oriental são também muito bem retratados. Claro que os miúdos preferem o “McQueen”, o “Francesco”, o “Matter” e o “Finn”.

Perguntam vocês o que poderemos ter de bem piroso sobre o filme?
Uma forma de bolos que a louca da mãe desencantou só para agradar os Piratas.

 

The famous world of Disney, “Cars”, the movie was a success among kids and adults alike, at our place I don’t know how likes more the famous “McQueen” if the Pirates or the parents (in the reality the creasiest one is me).
Were we have the movies, some books, clothes and other stuff (some things are just too silly), and of course the famous collection of Mattel figures. This collection is my pride and joy, the small cars on scale 1:55, are perfect copies off the movie characters, and they also show some different scenes of the movie, this was a perfect marketing operation that Disney and Mattel did to lock in fans.
I don’t have any favorite character but the ones that attract me the most are the little ones “Guido” and “Luigi”, and also the Asian characters due to the level of detail on the cars. Of course the kids love “McQueen”, “Francesco”, “Matter” and “Finn”.  

And you can ask what I have that is the silliest about the movie?
It’s a cake mold that the crazy mom found to please the Pirates.

 

 

 

"Gatos a Bordo" "Cats Ahoy"



Resolvi criar este blog desafiada por umas amigas/mães de princesas, sendo eu mãe de Piratas, vou tentar mostrar a todos os que por aqui passarem que também há coisas de rapazes bem giras ou mais que as das meninas.
O mundo dos rapazes nunca foi algo muito fascinante para mim apesar de não ser filha única, sempre fui muito feminina embora também brinca-se com os carrinhos do meu irmão.
Mas desde que sou mãe a minha realidade mudou muito, é engraçado que quando a minha mãe dizia: “Um dia quando fores mãe entenderas e veras o mundo de forma diferente”. E não é que isso aconteceu mesmo, deixei de ser tão egocêntrica, as minhas compras passaram a ser centradas nos meus Piratas. Sim” PIRATAS”, eu passo o tempo todo a chama-los de Piratas, sou fascinada por piratas, como tal vou começar este Blog com um livro muito especial que nos foi oferecido por uma mãe e grande amiga, que até então é mãe de uma princesa, mas amanhã já ira entrar no mundo dos Piratas.
Dedico este Post a esta mãe, a sua Princesa e ao seu pequeno Pirata (que seja bem-vindo), e claro aos meus Piratas.  

“Gatos a Bordo”, um livro dos autores Peter Bently e Jim Field, com ilustrações maravilhosas, muito detalhadas e coloridas, conta a história de um grupo de gatos piratas. É o livro escolhido para ler ao deitar, faz as maravilhas do imaginário dos meus Piratas e da mãe claro.

 

I decided to start this blog challenge by friends/moms of princesses, being me a Pirate mom, I’ll try to show to everyone, that also there are things for boys as cool or more than girls.
The boy’s world never fascinated me, in spite of not being an only child, I was always feminine but I did also play with my brother’s cars.
Since I’m a mom my reality changed, funny that my mom said me: “One day when you become a mom you will understand the world in a different way”. And then that day came, and I’m not so egocentric, my shopping stars to be centered on the Pirates’ needs.   Yes “PIRATES”, I always call them Pirates, I’m fascinated by Pirates, by the way I decide start this Blog with a special book, that was offered by a mom and also big friend, that’s also a princess mom, but tomorrow will turn to the Pirate world.
I dedicate this Post to this mom, her princess and the small Pirate (welcome baby), and off curse my Pirates.
